چکیده

This paper investigates resource sharing strategies for point-to-multipoint (P2MP) distribution in next-generation digital subscriber line (DSL) networks. The latest DSL ITU standard, multi-gigabit fast access to terminals (MGfast) or G.9711, supports P2MP transmission as a new feature, which allows among multiple customer premises equipments (CPEs). It offers an optimized user experience by efficiently utilizing available resources, thereby reducing the cost of service per user. can be done allocating part bandwidth each CPE connected same MGfast transceiver unit (MTU-O) at point (DPU). An optimal solution grouping and per-group frequency-division (FDMA) allocation is necessary optimally exploit network resources. In this scenario, computing solutions involves significant computational complexity, especially when dynamic, i.e., CPEs are frequently changing their activity status traffic demands. Therefore, overcome these issues, it employ heuristic that provide comparable performance but with significantly reduced complexity. proposes FDMA both upstream (US) downstream (DS) transmission. Additionally, lower complexity proposed based on solutions. These shown achieve

Label Distribution Protocol Extensions for Point-to-Multipoint and Multipoint-to-Multipoint Label Switched Paths

This document describes extensions to the Label Distribution Protocol (LDP) for the setup of point-to-multipoint (P2MP) and multipoint-to-multipoint (MP2MP) Label Switched Paths (LSPs) in MPLS networks. These extensions are also referred to as multipoint LDP. Multipoint LDP constructs the P2MP or MP2MP LSPs without interacting with or relying upon any other multicast tree construction protocol....

Resilience-Based Framework for Distributed Generation Planning in Distribution Networks

Events with low probability and high impact, which annually cause high damages, seriously threaten the health of the distribution networks. Hence, more attention to the issue of enhancing network resilience and continuity of power supply, feels more than ever, all over the world. In modern distribution networks, because of the increasing presence of distributed generation resources, an alternat...

Multipoint LDP In-Band Signaling for Point-to-Multipoint and Multipoint-to-Multipoint Label Switched Paths

Consider an IP multicast tree, constructed by Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM), that needs to pass through an MPLS domain in which Multipoint LDP (mLDP) point-to-multipoint and/or multipoint-tomultipoint Labels Switched Paths (LSPs) can be created. The part of the IP multicast tree that traverses the MPLS domain can be instantiated as a multipoint LSP. When a PIM Join message is received at...
